Focusing on Growth in New Zealand

Multigate are delighted to announce the completion of the acquisition of Essity business operations trading in New Zealand and Australia under the Propax and Multisorb brands. The deal, completed on the 1st September 2023, is an important strategic step which opens up new avenues for growth and collaboration in New Zealand and Australia.
Ben Chen, Multigate CEO said,

Following the acquisition, all company operations and Propax Procedure Pack purchases effective from 1 September 2023 will have the added advantage for customers of being climate neutral*, aligning with Multigate’s commitment to environmental sustainability.

The New Zealand operations will be overseen by Melanie Slattery our New Zealand Country Manager. Melanie has moved across from Essity and brings a wealth of experience to the role. Melanie and the team are excited about the great opportunity to leverage synergies with the wider Multigate Group of companies as they seek to drive business growth in the region.
*Multigate is in the process of pre-purchasing and retiring 2,500 carbon credits to offset our estimated FY24 emissions of our NZ company operations and Propax procedure pack portfolio, to support our claim. We will then begin the process of collecting the data we need to be able to accurately model our impact. At the end of the FY24 financial year, our climate active partner CARBON NEUTRAL will calculate our actual impact & compare it against our estimate to determine if a shortfall exists and we will purchase additional credits if required to achieve and validate our climate neutrality for the period.
