"Let us be like tigers in 2022."

Dear customers, partners and Multigate staff,

 I would like to start by saying a big thank you to all for your hard work, patience, and support in 2021. I hope you had an enjoyable Christmas and New Year’s break with your families and are now back at work, energised and ready to tackle the challenges of 2022.

2021 was a challenging year with unprecedented levels of disruption experienced in our global and local supply chains. Unreliable and restricted sea freight, COVID outbreaks and power shortages in China, rising cost of key material and services, and a lack of EO sterilisation capacity in Australia were just a few of the many challenges we had to contend with.

Unfortunately, my feeling is that 2022 will be just as tough, if not tougher. Most of the major challenges experienced in 2021 (except for a lack of EO sterilisation capacity) are likely to be ongoing issues, plus we now have the additional complications and implications of large scale Omicron outbreaks spreading out of control in our local communities.

Despite this, I am feeling positive and excited about the year ahead. I think this largely comes down to two things.

Firstly, I feel confident that Multigate is well equipped to provide customers with the best support possible during these turbulent and uncertain times. We have spent the last two years adapting and bolstering our business and supply channels to ensure we are in the strongest possible position to provide continuance of supply for our customers. Our teams have also demonstrated time and time again their willingness and capability to rise and meet any challenge head on, as well as their dedication to do everything within their power to provide our customers with the products, services and support they need. Our customers and partners have also demonstrated their resilience and resolve to get the job done under unrelenting pressure and ongoing difficult conditions. Therefore, I do not allow the prospect of a continued hard road ahead dampen my spirits.

Secondly, 2022 will see Multigate rollout several exciting new products and initiatives aimed at driving improvement and positive change. We started this ball rolling in late December 2021 with our announcement of Multigate’ s certification as a Climate Neutral Company. We see this as an important first step in a body of work aimed at reducing our environmental impact over the next 3 years. It will be very refreshing and exciting to start talking to customers once again about topics not related to COVID-19. I cannot wait to share more details on this with you in the coming months.

In closing, I would like to wish you and your families a very happy and prosperous new year. The 1st of February 2022 marks the beginning of a new Chinese lunar year - the "Year of the Tiger." According to Chinese Zodiac animal traits, tigers are known for their bravery, confidence, competitiveness, unpredictability, and generosity. Therefore, let us all be like tigers in 2022. Working together we can bravely and confidently face and overcome any challenge before us.
